Pro-Israel ministry concerned about potential Syrian-Israeli conflict

The head of a pro-Israel ministry is concerned about recent reports that Syria may be gearing up for a war against Israel.

Jan Markell is founder and director of Olive Tree Ministries in Minnesota. She says there are extremely reliable sources who are speaking out about the possibility and even the likelihood of a war between Syria and Israel by this fall, but quite possibly as early as the summer. Markell expresses concern about the outcome of such a conflict, judging by the poor performance of Israel in last summer's war with Hezbollah.

"Syria is not Hezbollah," she remarks. "Syria has sophisticated weapons, chemical weapons -- and how it plays out, we certainly don't know.”
