Pelosi Puts Iraq on Back Burner...for Now

CBNNews.com - The celebrate Nancy tour continued this morning with more smiles and hugs from well wishers at a Capitol Hill reception. Pelosi is also having a street named after her in her hometown of Baltimore today.

Last night, she was serenaded by singer Tony Bennett. Yet while this has been a triumphant week for the first woman speaker of the house, the Iraq war is lurking in the background.

Her party is divided on what to do about Iraq. Should it be a phased pullout, an immediate withdrawal or increasing troops? Friday, Republican Senator John McCain, Ariz., and Democrat Joe Lieberman, Conn., argued for more.

Liberal moveon.org anti-war protesters came to Washington today decked out in their impeach Satan T-shirts. They're intent on making clear that they want an immediate pullout and are waiting for the Democrats to lead the fight...
